Remains the goriest movie I’ve ever seen. And especially the goriest movie that uses the gore for a purpose. It’s hilarious, over-the-top and very creative. The effects are fantastic and the whole film looks great. Lionel is a fun and interesting lead, the other characters are a bit meh. Especially Paquita who is just really unlikable and annoying. I found some of the middle dragged slightly – the whole thing with the uncle felt like it interrupted the pace a little. The end is amazing though, obviously.
