I thought this was pretty much the greatest thing ever when I first watched it. I loved the pacing, the cinematography, the acting, the humour, the wackiness. I still think it’s very good, but its flaws were much more apparent and annoying this time around (particularly the pop culture references which I didn’t get then and still don’t get now). I was disappointed that I didn’t quite the thrill I did when I first watched it because I had a damn good time, but it’s still a solid film. And the opening is fecking amazing.
