I think I appreciate this film more than love it. It’s so well crafted and clever it’s hard to not like it. Still, I don’t have a particularly strong personal connection with it although I still love it a lot for just being a great film. I can’t imagine anyone but Cronenberg being able to make a film like this. It blends reality and fiction and paranoia and surrealism amazingly well. The effects are also pretty amazing. And I’ve always found Peter Weller oddly attractive in this.
